In 2014 the Kidd's Beach Sports & Social Club was established it being inspired by a concept developed by local residents and the Committee of the Kidd's Beach Bowling Club. The vision was to create a Club which not only served the interest of bowlers but extended to the social needs of the Kidd's Beach Community.
The Kidd's Beach Bowls Club was established in 1950 and over time it welcomed many new recruits to the world of Bowls. The Club has had, and continues to enjoy, success in local competitive bowls and welcomes social bowlers.
The KBBC membership is drawn from the coastal communities south of the Buffalo River and new members and visitors are welcomed whether they have played the game before or not. In fact the Club is privileged to enjoy the services of an experienced qualified coach who is at hand to assist new members. Members are encouraged to be competitive on the green and treasure each other’s company in the Clubhouse afterwards.
Kidd’s Beach Bowling Club has Tabs in on a Wednesday and Saturday with starting times for Summer, 1st September to 31st May being 13:30 for 14:00 start - Winter, from 1st June to 31st August the times change to 13:00 for 13:30 start.
The Bowling Club hosts three fundraising events during the year, these being our Ladies Christmas in June, The Kidd’s Beach Classic in November and Action Bowls, a social event in December.
The Club House is only open on Wednesday, Friday evening and Saturday. The hours are as follows:
Wednesday’s from 16:30
Friday’s from 15:30 – Light meals are served on Friday evenings.
Saturday from 16:30
The Kidd's Beach Sports & Social Club has grown tremendously and with many Social Cub members having become enthusiastic bowlers.
At all times members are encouraged to enjoy their bowls and the great fellowship of their Club!!
